Horror Short Review: Behind Us (2026)

From Amina Baiterek comes Behind Us, an amateurish horror short that comes in at less than three minutes long.

In it, a young woman named Amina is working on a computer when her younger sister comes in to show her an old sketchbook she found. In it are pictures she drew when she was 5, and one of them is a little strange, showing a black clad figure with long black hair standing with the family.

Two days later, Amina is looking through old pictures of her and her sister and what does she see? The same mysterious figure standing in the background. Just what is going on?

It’s a classic ghost story told in awkward fashion and in record time. I don’t think it is bad, especially for amateurs, but a lot more work needed to go into it to make it even slightly memorable.
