Album Review: Necroseminal Spatter – Sick Ways to Sodomy (Extremely Rotten Productions)

Released on October 31st via Extremely Rotten Productions (vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats), Sick Ways to Sodomy is the brand-new album from depraved death metal band, Necroseminal Spatter.

If you’re new to Necroseminal Spatter, let me introduce them. They’re a two-piece band, The Gorenecologist (drums/vocals) and the I-5 Masturbator (guitar/bass/vocals), and they play vomit inducing, salacious, and explicit death metal. The kind that comes with one hell of a twisted outlook, comes with disturbing intent, and comes with tongues jammed firmly in cheeks. It’s garish to an absurd degree, but that’s the point, Necroseminal Spatter want to offend you.

Which it might, purely because it comes with a such a pungent sexual element. Beyond that, it’s death metal delivered in raw and rancid fashion.

The album features seven tracks, each as horrible as the last. The title track opens things up, delivering a series of nasty sounding samples and chaotic instrumental heaviness. There’s a touch of groove to this one, and a strong guitar solo caps things off.

Things then get really vile with Fecal Spores in Open Sores and Smell of Maggots Spawning in Pooling Post Coital Vaginal Discharge. Both are short and sharp discharges of crunching heaviness with the kind of vocals that suck at the soul. We’re all going to hell, and it’s because tracks like this exist.

I think you have to have a taste for the extreme to really enjoy this, but if that is you, then Necroseminal Spatter have a full load for you to gobble down. Spraying filth with complete abandon via the likes of Casket Cuck and Sexxx Butcher. Though it might be hard for even the most twisted of minds to stomach Pleasures of Prolonged Genital Mastication. Thirty-odd seconds of a woman explaining why penis reattachment would likely result in no nerve endings and sixty-odd seconds of hellacious heaviness.

There’s pleasure in pain though and Necroseminal Spatter showcase that with Myiasis Mistress. The longest track on the album (just over four minutes), it’s a chance for the repulsiveness of the record to shine in a more measured way. There’s groove again, and that’s always welcome, but when it comes down to it, the throbbing intensity of it will likely have you crying out.
