Album Review: Future Palace – Resurgence (Century Media Records)

German trio Future Palace are back with their brand-new album, ‘Resurgence’, out on July 31st, 2026, via Century Media Records. An exploration of isolation, inner conflict, and the struggle to rebuild oneself.

With each new release, Future Palace grow in confidence. Not just expanding their sound in memorable ways but digging deeper into more personal territory. Creating a whirlwind of emotive noise that combines post hardcore heaviness, deeply expressive melody, and cinematics that burst with vibrancy.

The best Future Palace album yet?

I’m a fan and having been on this journey with them since sophomore album, Run (the debut album, Escape, passed me by because of COVID), I can’t help but marvel at how far they have come. They are unmistakably Future Palace, but they have grown so much and no one member embodies that growth better than vocalist Maria. Who has added so much more to her range that I can’t help but wonder if she can be considered one of the world’s best now.

I certainly think she is and all the proof needed is in tracks like Deep Blue, Disintegrate, Thorns, and Tidal Waves. Trust me, there are more, but these are the ones that will leave most gob smacked. The transition from soaring cleaning singing to aggressive screams and intense shouts are stunning. Just go listen to the last part of The Shades. It will make your heart race.

It’s not just her stunning voice that makes these tracks, and the album overall, special though and the instrumental section (Manuel – guitar and Johannes – drums) slays too. Big meaty riffs, potent melodies, thumping drums, and plenty of electronica and cinematic experimentation too. All of this, and so much more, is what drives the energy of Supernova, the dramatic Nightfall, and the emotion of Cyclone. Three examples of how strong their songwriting has become.

There are so many highlights, but two tracks I have found myself coming back to time and time again are Resurge (the chorus is class) and Nixy (I love the intensity). Take the time to hear the full thing, but if you’re that pressed for time, these two are beasts.

The growth of this band is simply staggering, and world domination must be assured now. It’s a travesty that they’re not already considered one of the giants of the scene, but I’m telling you that this album will change that. It’s that good.
