Album Review: Bleeker – Elephant (Known Accomplice)

Bleeker, the Ontario rock quartet, will release their third full-length album, ‘Elephant’, on September 4th, 2026, via Known Accomplice.

Consistently great, Bleeker are a band that I always enjoy listening too and this new album doesn’t change that. In fact, because the band have gone the ‘refined’ route, I am going to argue that this might be their best album yet. Although I doubt many will disagree with me once they hear it. It’s Bleeker doing Bleeker things, but elevated, more emotional, and more accessible than ever.

Kicking off with an energised head banger that gets well and truly stuck in the head, Bleeker start strong with Feel it Again. It’s the first of many foot tapping, finger snapping, and head banging efforts that will delight a wide array of listeners, especially as the energy and vibe is replicated throughout the album.

One of the bigger sounding efforts is the title track, featuring some groovy riffs, punchy drums, and a chorus that is delightfully infectious. It’s a guaranteed fan favourite, but I reckon Something on You, Boom Boom, Wake the Kids Up, and More will be just as popular.

Elsewhere, there is some off-centre efforts that perk the ears up. Laundry has a country vibe and is laden with poppy touches, Boring takes the listener on a fuzzy journey, and Blue closes out the album in melodramatic fashion.

Though, if we’re talking my favourites then the fabulous Outside is up there. I love the melodies in this one and how the vocals soar. I’m also quite impartial to the use of synth in the fun Last Night. These are two tracks I really dig, but I can’t stress enough that I had a good time throughout and found every single track had something positive to offer. This is Bleeker at their absolute best, brilliantly refined and sounding bolder than ever.
