Uprising X Adds Four Explosive New Additions!

Uprising celebrates its tenth edition with a new home in the heart of the Black Country at the legendary KK’s Steel Mill. Joining previously announced powerhouses like Black Spikes, Hippotraktor, and Cobra The Impaler, Uprising X welcomes four fresh bands making their festival debut.

​Sypha

​Alt-metallers Sypha make their Uprising debut! Hailing from Brighton, the band merges diverse influences to construct a sound loaded with massive melodic hooks, crushing riffs, and atmospheric soundscapes. In January 2026, Sypha achieved both fan and critical acclaim with the release of their debut album Bad Choices, which smashed through 1 million streams in its first month alone. Having brought their brand of heavy power-pop to prestigious venues across the UK—including the Underworld in Camden and Chalk in Brighton—they now set their sights on KK’s Steel Mill.

​Godthrymm

​Doom metal fans rejoice—we have you covered with the addition of Godthrymm, an epic, crushing band from the North featuring former members of genre legends My Dying Bride. Forming in 2017, Godthrymm quickly made their mark on the scene with their 2020 debut album Reflections, propelling them onto stages across the UK and at major European festivals including In Flammen Open Air and Tomorrow’s Ghosts. Do not miss this huge slab of glorious misery at Uprising.

Crimson Veil

​Brighton is home to a whole heap of talent, and Crimson Veil are definitive proof. Seamlessly blending multiple genres, their sound is dark, brooding, and ethereal. Crimson Veil burst onto the scene in 2024, and in under two years they have released their debut album Hex, toured alongside industrial heavyweights (and Uprising alumni) Combichrist, and performed at Metal Hammer Festival in Germany.

Kensei

​Local heroes Kensei complete the batch for their Uprising debut. Known for their high-energy party atmosphere and anthemic metalcore songwriting, Kensei have built a formidable reputation across the UK. Highlights include winning Birmingham Metal 2 the Masses, gracing Bloodstock’s New Blood stage, headlining Beermageddon, and releasing their hard-hitting debut album With Death I Walk. Armed with a dominant stage presence, Kensai won’t stop until Uprising is bouncing.
