Bloodstock Add Eighteen More Bands For 2027

BLOODSTOCK has built its reputation on a lineup that refuses to sit still. Year after year it’s the mix, not just the headliners, that keeps people coming back. Today, BLOODSTOCK unveils eighteen more bands joining the 2027 bill and not a single one is here to play it safe.

On the Ronnie James Dio stage, Friday sees Edinburgh’s DVNE bring their brand of progressive post metal to the bill, a sound built over more than a decade of increasingly ambitious records. Saturday brings Perth metalcore favourites MAKE THEM SUFFER, known for blending synths, screams and orchestral flourishes into something entirely their own, alongside riff-obsessed veterans DOG TIRED, who’ve spent over twenty years carving out a reputation as one of Scotland’s most relentless underground metal exports. Sunday sees deathcore mainstays CARNIFEX added to the lineup, a band whose crowds have a well earned reputation for chaos.

Thursday on the Sophie Lancaster stage offers up London desert rockers STEAK, whose brooding, hook laden take on stoner rock has made them a fixture of the UK heavy rock scene for over a decade. They’re joined by Leeds sci-fi thrashers CRYPTIC SHIFT, whose technical thrash and death metal comes wrapped in fully realised concept album storytelling, and genre hopping London trio CALVA LOUISE, whose multicultural, multilingual sound has earned support from BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music.

Friday sees Slough thrashers DIVINE CHAOS bring their fusion of thrash and melodic death metal to the stage, London hardcore crew FALSE REALITY arrive with a thrash infused, crossover sound that’s made them one of the most talked about names in UK hardcore, and Northern Irish thrash veterans GAMA BOMB deliver over two decades of riffs built on horror movies, pulp sci-fi, and zero apologies.

Saturday only ramps things up on the Sophie stage. Brighton’s self-styled brat metal trio EVILLE fuse nu-metal revivalism with a distinctly modern pop sensibility, Ukrainian metalcore force SPACE OF VARIATIONS fly in with a sound twice crowned their home country’s best, and Finland’s genre bending LUNA KILLS mix alternative and nu-metal with electronics inspired by video game soundtracks. They’re joined by transatlantic supergroup SPITTING GLASS, who’d barely released a single note this year before they’d already sold out London’s Underworld and left the Dogtooth tent at Download in tatters, and Atlanta deathcore outfit LEFT TO SUFFER, a band that hits like a wrecking ball with the precision of a scalpel.

Sunday wraps up the weekend with Cypriot thrash/death metal band BLYND, one of the most established names in their country’s metal scene after more than two decades of touring across Europe. Norwegian black and viking metal force UBUREN take their name from an old Norse word for casting out, drawing on Norwegian folklore and history throughout their sound. US genre blurrers THE ACACIA STRAIN bring over a sound that’s part existential metal, part cosmic hardcore, with plenty of doom and sludge thrown in for good measure. There’s no better way to send the weekend off than getting flattened by this lot.
