Black Spikes, the avant-garde alternative metal band from Lithuania, return with their brand-new album (and first for Napalm Records), ‘Ydos’, on August 28th, 2026.
While it might not be a country that immediately comes to mind when thinking of modern European alternative metal, Lithuania can proudly boast that it has produced Black Spikes, one of the most exciting heavy bands heard in a while.
In this interview, we chatted to lead vocalist Agni about the new album, the journey the band has been on to make it a reality, how they explore their artistry in different ways, getting their music heard outside of their home country, working with a label like Napalm, and so much more.
