Mother! is a 2017 psychological horror, of sorts, from the mind of Darren Aronofsky, who both wrote and directed it. Not shy of a big budget, or a big star, Aronofsky has also written, directed or produced films like Noah, The Wrestler and Black Swan.
When you hear the title Mutant want kind of horror movie do you think of? Creature feature? Monster? Mad experiment gone wrong? All of them seem perfectly plausible. How about zombies? Yeah, I didn’t think so but that is exactly what Mutant is about.

The Endless is a Sci-Fi Horror film that follows two brothers who receive a cryptic video message inspiring them to revisit the UFO death cult they escaped a decade earlier. The message talks of an upcoming “ascension”. Hoping to find closure, they return but everything may not be what it seems.
After the runaway success of the 1990 monster movie, Tremors a sequel was inevitable but it wouldn’t be until 1996 that we got one. A direct to video release (for reasons that make little sense once you’ve seen it), Tremors 2: Aftershocks is an entertaining movie that holds up well in the story department and the creature effects.
A horror movie about a sentient car shouldn’t be good but thanks to great direction by John Carpenter and great acting (Keith Gordon and John Stockwell) Christine really impresses.
