Single Slam – Martyr by Equinox
Another Bloodstock Festival New Blood band that were mightily impressive were Liverpool based hard rockers, Equinox. Their most recent release came in January this year with the single Martyr.

Having just been completely won over by a triumphant set on the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Festival 2018, I now get the pleasure to look back at one of the previous releases from symphonic metal power house, Aonia, starting with the 2017 release of the single, Violet Hours.

One of heavy metal icon, Max Cavalera’s longest running bands, Soulfly, have released the first single from their incoming new album. That single is called Evil Empowered. Evil Empowered will feature on the band’s 11th studio album, Ritual, which is set for release on the 19th of October via Nuclear Blast.
EP Review – Rahab by Earth Groans (Solid State Records)
South Dakota based hardcore/punk metallers, Earth Groans, released a new EP on the 3rd of August called Rahab via Solid State Records. The American band have only existed for a few years, forming in 2015 when founder Jeremy Schaeffer felt a need to get involved in the hardcore music scene. A genre he had always felt passionately about.

UnholyDarklotus’ Top Ten Nightwish Songs
With Bloodstock Festival 2018 fast approaching, I have been thinking about some of the bigger bands playing and what my favourite tracks are by those bands. Songs I would love to hear or even songs that I am probably not going to. That thinking led me to Nightwish, the symphonic metal giants from Finland, who close out the festival on the Sunday night.

Belgian death metallers, Aborted, have released the title track of their brand new album, TerrorVision. TerrorVision, the album, will be released on the 21st of September via Century Media Records.
