FOXHAUNT Return With New Single ‘Absolution’
FOXHAUNT have returned! The Leeds alt-rock / metalcore leaning quartet are bursting back into life with their new single Absolution; A riff laden track that simultaneously feels like it could have been born in the height of nu-metal, yet still feels fresh as a daisy for 2026. Absolution continues to see FOXHAUNT continue in the heavier direction that the band first embarked on last year on tracks like The Daylight Between Us And Gasoline.

FOXHAUNT expand on the meaning behind their new single:
Absolution is about the weight of living in a world shaped by people in power who seem completely detached from the consequences of their decisions. It comes from the frustration of watching greed, self-interest and a lack of compassion take priority over the lives of the people they’re supposed to serve.
The chorus plays with the idea of judgement and a power greater than any position of authority. However untouchable these people might seem in this life, there’s something strangely comforting in the thought that one day they may have to answer for the damage they’ve caused. In the end, no amount of power can guarantee forgiveness and there may be no absolution waiting for them.

While FOXHAUNT have been holed up working on new material, there’s also a new addition to the ranks! The band would like to introduce new drummer Tom Beverley, formerly of Broken; Narrative. The rest of the band say that Tom has “brought new energy and a new purpose to FOXHAUNT” and look forward to everyone getting to see what Tom can do on their upcoming run of live shows.
These kick off on the 10th of October at Croft Fest, a charity festival featuring The Five Hundred, Waterlines, Asleep At The Helm and many more, raising money for Muscular Dystrophy UK. The following weekend FOXHAUNT will support Darlah in Birmingham and play a headline show in Newcastle, and round out their currently announced shows by heading to Sheffield at the end of November to play Novocaine Festival with As Everything Unfolds, Tropic Gold and more!
