Let’s Have A Closer Look at Stoomfest 2026

Stoomfest has quickly become a premier event, and London’s home of stoner, doom and heavy psych music. Returning for its latest iteration from the 25th to the 27th of September, it’s a carefully curated weekend of heavy music within the walls of The Garage (Highbury) and features no clashes.

The completely independent festival has been built by people inside the scene. With people who want more than a standard gig listing kept in mind. The festival is proud to put curation, sound, atmosphere and community first, creating a room where artists are treated properly and audiences feel part of the culture. The weekend is built for listening and discovery rather than rushing between stages.

This is a mantra recognised by fans, resulting in the Sunday of the festival being completely sold out now. You can still Friday & Saturday combo tickets or individual days. But those tickets are limited now. It seems likely that the event will sell out especially when you look at the lineup!

Heavy psychedelic blues band Mount Hush will headline the Friday night of the festival. With stoner rockers Kaiser, mystic psych-doom and sludge band Froglord, psych rockers The Lunar Effect, and heavy psych doom band Orbiter also on the bill. Expect to come away with your head spinning and ears ringing.

The Saturday of the festival is even more packed with quality bands. Starting with the desert psych and punk infused Red Sun Atacama, followed then by sludgy, post-infused, progressively tinged Khan, before Thunderhorse, the heavy doom and psych band, and Slomatics, the sludge and doom band, arrive. Black Willows are sensory band, delivering an immersive kind of shamanic doom, whereas Astroqueen do fuzz, heavy stoner style fuzz. The day will then end with the sound of funky groove and infectious psychedelic rock courtesy of Savanah, and the sound of high-powered stoner and psychedelic rock courtesy of headliner Colour Haze.

What a day, but it’s not done yet.

Sunday sees Holystone bringing their dark, psychedelic strain of stoner doom to Stoomfest as headliners of the final day. Followed by the hooky stoner rock and alt-rock band Dunes and the fuzzed-up rock band Earl of Hell. Then there is School Disco, with their unique blend of prog, psychedelic rock and krautrock, and Sleeping Mountain, a thick combo of stoner and prog rock. Finally, opening the day, it’s Mehiga, who will bring the heavy psych and groove rock.

How amazing is this!? Easily one of Stoomfest’s strongest lineups to date and all for £91 (Friday and Saturday) or £66.75 (Saturday) and £44 (Friday. Remember, Sunday has completely sold out now.
