EP Review: Exist Immortal – Afterglow (Seek & Strike)

‘Afterglow’ is the long-awaited new EP from UK progressive metal outfit Exist Immortal, released September 11th, 2026, via Seek & Strike.

Having survived a period of upheaval that would have destroyed most bands, Exist Immortal return with fire running through their veins and venom in their souls. Redefining who they are, using their trials and tribulations to drive creativity, and focusing on the future. There is no looking back and the five tracks of this album prove unequivocally that this band is one of the most important in the progressive metal scene today.

Amazingly, they’re not playing it safe either and this definitely feels like a fresh coat of paint (or two) on the band. More anthemic, more heartfelt, more layered, and more intense than ever. Tracks like Something, Somewhere, the title track, and Stuck in Motion are instant hits, and obvious highlights, but this is an EP filled with quality ideas from beginning to end. I love it, and you will too.

It’s like Exist Immortal are debuting all over again, except they come with one hell of a reputation already. The future of the band has never looked more exciting or brighter.
